Information we collect

Personal Information. When you register at the Site, we collect your parent’s e-mail address. We only use this information to notify your parent that you would like to register at the Site and to obtain parental consent. In addition, we may collect online contact information, such as your e-mail address, for the sole purpose of responding directly on a one-time basis to your specific request, after which we will delete the information from our records.

We do not otherwise knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Should we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete that information from our database.

Non-Personal Information. We may collect and store any non-personal information that you choose to enter through the Site. We may require that you provide some non-personal information, such as your username, first name and last initial, hometown, and state, in order to register and participate in certain features we offer.

Automatic Information. We may automatically collect some information about your computer when you visit the Site. For example, we may collect your IP address, Web browser software (such as Internet Explorer), and referring web site. We also may collect information about your activity on the Site, such as information about your account usage. We may combine this automatically-gathered information with other information, including non-personal information we have collected about you.

How we protect your information

We have implemented procedures to help protect the personal information that you provide to us. However, no method of transmitting or storing electronic data is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that such information will never be accessed, used, or released in a manner that is inconsistent with this policy.

How parents may access your information

Parents can review and have deleted their child’s information, and refuse to permit further collection or use of their child’s information. To do so, a parent should contact us at the [address, phone number, or e-mail address] provided below.

Additional privacy provisions for children under 13

If you are under 13, your parent has the option to consent to the collection and use of your personal information without consenting to the disclosure of that information to third parties.

If you are under 13, we will not condition your participation in an activity on your disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity.

A special word about public forums

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose information online in public forums, that information can be collected and used by others. For this reason, please do not post any personal information, such as your first and last name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, social security number, or any sensitive information, in any public forums.
